SPOKANE, Wash. - Tai Tiedemann twirled 6.2 stellar innings and the Indians defeated the Tri-City Dust Devils 3-1 to clinch a series victory on Fireworks Night presented by Your Local Toyota Dealers and 103.1 KCDA.

Tiedemann (W, 1-2) settled down after giving up a first inning run to throw his best game of the season. After giving up two hits and a run in the top of the first, he surrendered just one hit the rest of the way. Tiedemann finished the night throwing 6.2 innings, walking one and striking out five.

The Indians' offense did not get off to the hot start they are accustomed to at home. But with Tiedemann on the hill, they manufactured just enough offense to win. Trailing 1-0 in the third, Cristian Inoa reached second on a two-base error. Following a wild pitch, Scott Kapers drove in Inoa on a grounder to short to tie the game at one.

Spokane took the lead in the sixth thanks to the legs of Julio Pablo Martinez. He led off the bottom of the sixth with a single back up the middle. An errant pick-off throw would allow him to get to second and a perfect bunt from Tyler Depreta-Johnson advanced him to third. Diosbel Arias drove him in with an RBI sacrifice fly to give Spokane a 2-1 lead.

The Indians added on in the seventh thanks to a Redband Rally. Tanner Gardner walked to start the inning and came around to score on Cristian Inoa's RBI double, extending the lead to 3-1. Inoa has multiple hits in three of his last four games.

Spokane's bullpen was lights out for the second-straight night. Francisco Villegas relieved Tiedemann and threw 1.1 scoreless innings. Cole Uvila converted his first save of the season after striking out two in the ninth to clinch the Indians' third straight home series victory.
