SPOKANE, Wash.—Sad news for sky gazers in the Inland Northwest who were hoping to catch a glimpse of Wednesday’s solar storm: cloudy skies will likely block your view.
NOAA reported that an aurora could be visible to higher latitudes as the storm crossed the night skies.
NOAA issued a solar storm watch for Wednesday. Two satellites spotted the activity on the Sun's surface.
The National Weather Service-Spokane officials said that clouds would likely block any view the Inland Northwest would have had of the aurora.
