VANTAGE, Wash. --- Washington State Department of Transportation reopened one westbound lane of Interstate 90 on Tuesday afternoon near Vantage, after closing the road for a brush fire.

WSDOT said there was a detour available via the Old Vantage Highway, though viewer pictures from I-90 showed a significant back up as of Tuesday afternoon.

WSDOT dispatchers said they did not know when the road would be reopened, but fire crews were out working to extinguish the brush fire. Washington Department of Natural Resources tweeted the fire had spread to about 150 acres as of Tuesday at 4:30 p.m., but was 100 percent lined by 5 p.m.
