Man arrested for DUI after driving through Spokane crash scene

Spokane Police respond to a two vehicle collision on the north side of the city where at least one person sustained bodily injuries.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police responded to a two-vehicle crash at N. Division Street and E Magnesium Road on Sunday evening.

At least one individual received substantial injuries from the collision and was taken to the hospital by medics, police said.

Major Crimes Collision investigators were called to the scene to investigate further.

While the police were investigating, another impaired driver drove through the crash scene. Another officer had to cut off the driver by pulling in front of him, which almost led to a collision, according to Spokane police.

Washington State Patrol was called to the scene to assist with the intoxicated driver and he was subsequently arrested for DUI.

The driver of the at-fault vehicle from the first crash is in custody for vehicular assault and Spokane police believe impairment led to the collision.

All roads have reopened in the area.
