Wildfire burns 10 acres northeast of Hayden Lake

The fire was zero percent contained as of Wednesday afternoon, but fire crews said they have a line around the fire.

HAYDEN LAKE, Idaho — Fire crews are responding to a wildfire burning one mile northeast of Hayden Lake.

The Hudlow Fire burned 10 acres along Hayden Creek Road. The fire was zero percent contained as of Wednesday afternoon, but fire crews said they have a line around the fire.

There are 70 fire personnel with three engines adn one water tender working on containing the fire.

The fire is burning in timber on steep terrain. No structures have been threatened as of 3:00 p.m. Wednesday.

A portion of Hayden Creek Road and National Forest System lands north of Hudlow Mountain are closed Wednesday.

Forest Service Road #437 (Hayden Creek Road) from its intersection with County Road 3090 to its junction with Ohio Match Road is closed. National Forest System lands from the Forest Boundary on the west of Section 26 north of Hudlow Mountain, Hayden Creek to the north, Ohio Match Road to the east, and the Forest Boundary to the south is closed.

The fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
