LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. — The Angel Springs Fire burning seven miles northeast of Davenport has damaged 14 buildings since it began burning on the afternoon of August 2.
Four structures and ten outbuildings have been lost, and 170 structures are still threatened, officials said.
Nearly 500 personnel are assigned to the fire. It has burned 5,043 acres and is 35 percent contained as of Wednesday afternoon. Officials said the fire was sparked by a combine.
Level three evacuation orders have been lowered to level two. Level two evacuations remain in place for surrounding areas, including Western Pines, Olson Hills, Zeimantz, Heath and Little Falls. Firefighters are working to mop up along the containment lines on Wednesday.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency authorized the use of federal funds to help fight the Angel Springs Fire on Saturday afternoon.
