PULLMAN, Wash. — The Pullman Fire Department has passed the investigation into a fire that damaged an arcade and laser tag business on Sunday morning to local law enforcement after determining the cause to be suspicious.

According to a release from Pullman Fire Spokesman Glenn Johnson, investigators discovered multiple start points and evidence of vandalism in the building housing Cougar Laser Arena.

The fire is now being treated as an arson fire, according to Johnson.

The flames were seen by a Pullman Fire paramedic returning from the Pullman Regional Hospital, Johnson said. The structure itself didn't sustain damage, but there is water, fire and smoke damage to the interior.

Crews responded at about 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to Johnson.

Wysup Imports and More, which shares the building with Cougar Laser Arena, did not sustain damage and was only affected by the smell of smoke, according to Johnson.

The extent and amount of the damage are still under investigation, Johnson said.
