Z Nation, the SyFy channel zombie hit, is returning to Spokane to film its fourth season. The show has filmed in around the Inland Northwest since 2014. In honor of the latest season, the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture is featuring a new exhibit that features everything zombies.

KREM 2 sat down with Z Nation creator Karl Schaefer at the MAC who is excited to be back in the Inland Northwest working on the show once again.

During past seasons, Z Nation has employed the help of Spokane residents as extras in the series. Auditions for zombie extras were originally supposed to be held in late May, but were postponed. Spokanites are encouraged to try out at the rescheduled auditions on June 17 and 18.

New zombies can try out at the following times:

• June 17: 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 2 -4 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.

• June 18: 11 a.m. -1 p.m., 3-5 p.m.

Returning zombies will have a chance to audition on:

• June 17: 9-10 a.m., 1-2 p.m.

• June 18: 10-11 a.m., 2-3 p.m.

The casting director for Z Nation also offered a few tips on how locals can stand out during the auditions and make the cut.

Those interested in auditioning must be 18 years or older. Casting directors ask that auditioning zombies do not wear makeup and wear form-fitting clothes. They will be casting extras to be both zombies and humans, but all auditions will include various zombie walks and exercises.
