SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.-- Spokane Valley Firefighters responded to two brush fires on E. Mansfield Avenue and N. Discovery Place on Sunday afternoon.
Spokane Valley Fire said the main fire burned five acres near Mirabeau Park and the second was a spot fire. It took firefighters two hours to contain the fires.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Department of Natural Resources also responded to the fire. They brought two fire boss planes and made water drops.
Firefighters remained on scene for several hours to put out hot spots. No one was injured.
