SPOKANE, Wash. – Joshua Mobley, the man accused of killing 9-month-old Caiden Henry will not be allowed to travel to his in-laws for holiday festivities.
Earlier this week, Mobley asked a judge to allow him to travel to Wenatchee and Chelan to celebrate Christmas with his in-laws.
Mobley is charged with second degree murder in Henry’s death, but is out of custody as he awaits trial. He wanted to leave on the trip Friday, but Thursday morning his hearing was canceled.
Several people showed up to court to support Caiden Henry’s mother, many of them wearing buttons with the baby’s photograph on them. Supporters told KREM 2 they are working to set up a daycare to help parents in the community, so there is a safe place to take their kids.
Caiden’s mother, Crystal Henry, told KREM 2 in October, the last time she saw Caiden alive was when Joshua Mobley dropped her off at work, along with his wife Jennifer, the morning of February 26. Mobley was in charge of watching Caiden, along with his own children, while they were at work.
Previously, Mobley was allowed to attend his kids’ birthday parties, a wedding in Oregon, and a funeral in California.
