PHILADELPHIA, Penn. -- Five Gonzaga Prep students got the chance to see Pope Francis on Saturday in Philadelphia.

The priest accompanying them said the Pope passed right by students in the Popemobile as he wraps up his tour of the U.S. They waited six hours to see the Pope give a speech at Independence Hall.

The trip has been more than just seeing the leader of the Catholic Church. The priest said the students have been treating the trip like a religious pilgrimage. They have been attending masses and lectures throughout the weekend with 40 other Jesuit schools.

The students will attend a Tapal Mass on Sunday where the Pope is expected to speak to a crowd of about one million people.
