Police seek suspect in north Spokane shooting that left one injured

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police officers responded to a shooting near North Perry St. and East Dalton Ave. at about 11:30 p.m. on Friday night.

Officer responded to reports of a shooting and found a male victim with a gunshot wound, according to Spokane Police Corporal Kyle Yrigollen.

According to KREM Reporter Shayna Waltower, neighbors who live in the area of the shooting said they saw a man lying in the street after the gunshots rang out.

Paramedics and officers performed first aid on scene and the man was transported to an area hospital. Major Crimes investigators are working on the scene and roads may be closed as they examine the scene, according to Yrigollen.

The victim's condition is unknown and officers are searching for a suspect in the surrounding area, according to Yrigollen. Police are asking any witnesses to provide more information on the shooting.
