CLEVELAND — Editor's Note: The above story is from reporting on President Biden's May 2021 visit to Northeast Ohio.
President Joe Biden is set to return to the Buckeye State.
Biden will be in Ohio on Wednesday, July 21 to take part in a CNN Town Hall event.
The event will take place as Biden reaches the milestone of six months in office. According to CNN, the town hall will be hosted by Don Lemon and is expected to focus on a wide range of issues facing the nation, ranging from COVID-19 to the economy.
In May, Biden visited Cleveland's Cuyahoga Community College to deliver remarks on the economy and also toured the school's Manufacturing Technology Center.
More recently, former President Donald Trump held a campaign-style event in Wellington. Biden won only seven Ohio counties in the 2020 election as Trump prevailed by a decisive 53.3% to 45.2% margin statewide.
Next week's town hall comes as the Biden Administration continues to push for several key initiatives, including voting rights, infrastructure, immigration, and police reform.
A CNN spokesperson said an invitation-only audience will be present at the town hall and the network will follow all local and state COVID-19 guidance and regulations to ensure a safe event. Details on the location will be forthcoming.
