The Spokane County Sheriff’s Air 3 Rescue Helicopter was deployed Friday evening after a hiker got stuck in the Q’emlin Park area near Post Falls.

The SCSO Air 1 Twitter account tweeted at about 5 p.m. that Rescue 3 was headed to the Q’emlin Park area to conduct a hoist rescue using Helicopter Rescue Medics from Spokane and Spokane Valley Fire Departments.

About 40 minutes later, the same account tweeted that Rescue 3 successfully hoisted the patient to safety. The patient is no being examined by Kootenai Fire and Rescue.
