POST FALLS, Id. -- According to a Kootenai Health official, a Post Falls man has died after falling into the Spokane River on Saturday.
Andy Philpot,40, reportedly fell off his inner tube and into the Spokane River near Corbin Park Saturday evening.
Witnesses called first responders when he did not resurface. A diver from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office was able to locate Philpot within minutes of getting on the scene.
Officials said Philpot did not have a pulse when he was first pulled out of the water, but medical personnel were able to regain his pulse following a series of procedures.
