SPOKANE, Wash. — A new restaurant is coming to Spokane's Perry District in October.
Indicana, an Indian-Mexican fusion restaurant, is set to open across the street from South Perry Pizza and Perry Street Brewing on October 22.
According to the Indicana website, the restaurant will serve unconventional tacos and burritos, craft cocktails, and desserts.
"Think chipotle roasted sweet potato enchiladas with a creamy butter masala sauce or tamarind-ginger-maple glazed pork ribs with tangy apple slaw and crispy patatas bravas tossed with an Indian spice twist," Indicana said on Facebook.
According to a Facebook post, the restaurant is a passion project between Noreen Hiskey, the owner of Inland Curry and Chip Overstreet, a former CEO of Spiceology.
The restaurant says it will have several options for every dietary need, from gluten-free to vegetarian to vegan to meat lovers.
The two co-owners worked to renovate the vacant 1020 South Perry Street building, which used to house Hai's Market over ten years ago.
The new space will be able to seat 55 customers with a full bar and patio space.
