MOSES LAKE, Wash. — Moses Lake firefighters rescued a deer stuck in the mud in Moses Lake on Thursday morning, according to iFIBER ONE News.
The rescue happened near the Alder Street Fill bridge connecting downtown and uptown Moses Lake.
Firefighters were able to get the deer to safety using an inflatable boat and sprayed off the mud once they were on shore.
The deer made it a few feet before lying down, where she was left with blankets and hot packs to warm up. She was gone a few hours later, according to iFIBER ONE.
Firefighters think the deer may have injured her leg, according to iFIBER ONE.
Moses Lake Fire posted about the rescue on its Facebook page, writing, "Trying to make a difference today."
