SPOKANE, Wash.-- Free roller skating lessons are offered at the Riverfront Park until Sunday, May 20.

Lessons are available on select Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

The Lilac City Roller Derby, Spokane's first nonprofit flat track roller derby league, will be teaching the lessons.

Each lesson is limited to 15 skaters and sign ups are available at the Sky Ribbon Cafe.

Riverfront Park's Skate Ribbon opened on April 2, after it was previously the Ice Ribbon during the winter season.

Admission to the Skate Ribbon is free during roller skating season.

It is open daily from 5:00 a.m. until midnight.
