Deputies locate woman who walked away from Spokane Valley retirement home

Joanne McCready was found safe around 6:58 p.m. Thursday night.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Spokane Valley deputies have located a 75-year-old woman who left her retirement community Tuesday morning and hadn't returned.

According to Spokane County Sheriff’s Corporal Mark Gregory, Joanne McCready, 75, left the Park Place Retirement Community on South Park Road at 9 a.m. Tuesday. He said she was last seen walking toward the bus stop later in the afternoon at 3 p.m.

McCready was found safe around 6:58 p.m. Thursday night.  

Retirement facility staff said she left her wallet, phone and keys in her home, Gregory said.
