Orofino man crashes car after he said a bee landed on his hand

Officials said Sandy was issued a citation for inattentive driving.

OROFINO, Idaho – A driver said he crashed his car near Orofino Wednesday morning after a bee landed on his hand.

Clearwater County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash near milepost 51 on Highway 7.

The driver, Sham Sandy, 29, told deputies he was headed north on Highway 7 when he said a bee landed on his hand and said he was trying to get it off of him when he left the road, hit a boulder and rolled. No one was injured.

Officials said Sandy was issued a citation for inattentive driving.
