RITZVILLE, Wash. – Governor Jay Inslee signed an emergency proclamation Wednesday for Adams County to help the Washington Department of Transportation make emergency repairs to a damaged bridge.
Inslee is asking for federal assistance to help pay for repairs to the I-90 overpass near Ritzville.
Officials said the overpass sustained an estimated $740,000 in damage when it was hit July 10 by a vehicle carrying an oversized load. They said the entire eastbound span of the bridge must be replaced and traffic on the overpass is limited to one alternation lane until repairs begin.
