SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Lowe’s confirmed Friday an employee at its Spokane Valley store contracted coronavirus.

In a statement, a Lowe’s spokesperson said a Lowe’s associate at the store on East Sprague Avenue was diagnosed with COVID-19, has been quarantined and is receiving care.  The last time the employee worked was March 17.

The spokesperson said the store was then cleaned following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The store is still open to customers.

The store has been extensively cleaned per CDC guidelines, and in an abundance of caution, associates who had worked closely with this individual over a period of time have been put on a paid leave,” the statement read.
