BONNER COUNTY, Idaho — A teen boy was shot in Blanchard, Idaho, on Tuesday evening, according to the Bonner County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say the injury is not life-threatening and the victim has been taken to Kootenai Medical Center.
The Sheriff's Office says in initial reports, the teen was shot by an unidentified male suspect. Detectives are still actively investigating.
Authorities say the public is not at risk.
The shooting prompted a large police presence Tuesday, according to reports.
