Spokane teen allegedly threatened to shoot friend, nearby children over $120

The suspect allegedly fired shots out of his window and "threatened to shoot in the area of children playing down the street if she did not give him the money."

SPOKANE, Wash. — A 16-year-old male suspect allegedly threatened a juvenile with a gun when she attempted to buy a car part on Saturday, according to court documents.

Documents allege the teen also threatened to shoot nearby children who were playing if the victim didn't hand over $120 in cash.

The suspect allegedly met with the victim in order her to purchase car parts that were worth $120, according to an affidavit obtained by KREM.

The victim got into the suspect's car, at which time he allegedly demanded the money and pulled a black semiautomatic pistol with gold markings from his center console, according to the documents.

After loading the pistol, the suspect then allegedly locked the doors and drove off with the victim in the passenger seat, according to the affidavit.

The suspect allegedly fired shots out of his window as he left and "threatened to shoot in the area of children playing down the street if she did not give him the money."

At one point, the suspect allegedly pulled into an alley, donned a blue bandanna to cover his face and threatened to shoot an older man getting into an SUV if the victim did not hand over the money, according to the documents.

After agreeing to give the suspect the money, the victim tried to escape the car by unlocking her door and running out near Cooper Elementary. The suspect then allegedly pulled her back in by her backpack and drove off, again threatening to kill her if she didn't give him the money, according to an affidavit.

The suspect then allegedly put the gun up to the victim's head, after which she gave him the money, according to the documents. She was then able to leave the vehicle.
