SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police say they are searching for a suspect in a shooting that left one victim with a hand injury in North Spokane on Saturday afternoon.

According to Spokane Police Department Spokesperson Teresa Fuller, a shooting sent one victim to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand on Saturday afternoon.

The suspect in the shooting is still at large and police are using a K9 unit to search the area of North Addison St. and East Francis Ave., Fuller says. Residents in the area should hear the K9 unit and are asked to stay indoors if they do as the search takes place.

Police are not releasing information on the suspect or the victim, but say the two knew each other previously, according to Fuller.

Those in the area may notice an increase police presence as the search continues.
