Spokane-area deals for veterans on Veterans Day

A lot of businesses around the Inland Northwest and the country offer special deals on Veterans Day.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Veterans Day is on Monday, Nov. 11, as the country comes together to celebrate those past and present who have served in the United State military.

A lot of businesses show their appreciation by offering discounts and freebies for military veterans.

Here is a list of some of the local and nationwide deals available to those who have served or are serving on Veterans Day.

7-Eleven: Special offers for veterans through their Veterans Advantage program. Veterans can signup at 7-eleven.com

Applebee's: Free meal from a select menu

Bonefish Grill: Free appetizer

Buffalo Wild Wings: Free small wings and fries

Chili's: Free meal from a special menu

Denny's: Free build your own grand slam from 5 a.m. to noon

Einstein Bros. Bagels: Free bagel, shmear with any purchase for Veterans, first responders and active duty members

Ferraros Restaurant & Bar: Veterans eat fee all day with military ID

Golden Corral: Free meal between 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Krispy Kreme: One free donut and small coffee

Little Caesars: Free Hot-and-ready combo from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Luigi's: Complimentary dinner meal for any veteran

McClain's Pizzeria: 20 percent off all food for veterans and active duty personnel, and all veterans and active duty members can get a free pop and two slices of pepperoni or cheese pizza from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Melting Pot: 20 percent off any four-course experience for any veteran or active duty service member and a guest

Outback Steakhouse: 20 percent discount on entire check

Olive Garden: Free meal from select menu

Red Lobster: Free appetizer or dessert

Red Robin: Free Red's Tavern Double and bottomless fries

Starbucks: Free coffee for veterans, active duty service members, and military spouses

Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., free drink included

Amazon Prime: Veterans, active duty personnel and Guard and Reserve members can sign up for an Amazon Prime membership for $79 instead of the normal $119. Those who already have a membership and renew for the lower rate

Blue Zoo Spokane: Free admission for veterans and active duty members with Military ID

Cabela's: 5 percent discount for veterans, active-duty members, law enforcement, firefighers and EMS personnel

Great Clips: Non-veterans receive a free haircut card to give to a veteran through Dec. 31

Home Depot: Veterans and active-duty members get a 10 percent discount on in-store purchases

Kohl's: Military Monday discount doubles to 30 percent for active-duty and veterans

Lowe's: 10 percent discount every day for veterans

National Parks: Free admission for everyone on Veterans Day

Target: 10 percent discount on in-store and online purchases for veterans, active duty members, spouses and dependents. Must register here for the discount
