OTIS ORCHARDS-EAST FARMS, Wash. — A family bought $1,000 in gift cards at The Otis Grill in Otis Orchards intending to give them out in the community, the restaurant posted on Facebook.
"We want to give a huge, special thank you to the family from Valley Real Life Church who purchased one thousand dollars in gift cards to give to the community!" they wrote.
Due to a second round of COVID-19 restrictions in Washington state, indoor dining is no longer allowed. This has put another strain on restaurants and local businesses, many of whom are struggling to keep their doors open amid the pandemic.
"We can’t express how much it means to us. This second lockdown on restaurants has been very difficult and scary for us, but this gave us hope," the restaurant wrote.
The family who bought the gift cards told the restaurant they would like to remain anonymous.
