SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Amazon has posted its first two job listings for the Spokane fulfillment center on their website.

The positions are IT Manager and Operations Manager. The Operations Manager position encourages military veterans and spouses to apply.

According to the website, the Operations Manager position was posted on Oct. 8, while the IT Manager position was posted on Oct. 15.

The IT Manager position includes "leading a team of IT professionals with various skill sets to provide world-class technical support to Amazon's Operations team," according to the listing. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree to apply for the position, among other requirements.

The Operations Manager position includes leading "an inbound operation, outbound operation, or a functional process on a specified shift or across multiple shifts" in the fulfillment center, according to the listing. Applicants need a bachelor's degree or five years experience working with Amazon, among other requirements.

More information on the positions can be found on Amazon's jobs website.

The fulfillment center, located off of Geiger Boulevard just south of the Spokane International Airport, plans on creating more than 1,500 full-time jobs, according to Amazon.

Earlier this year, Amazon said all employees at the fulfillment center will make at least $15 an hour along with full health, dental and vision benefits, a 401k with 50 percent match, and 20 weeks paid parental leave.

Amazon hasn't confirmed if the fulfillment center will provide Spokane with same-day or two-hour delivery. Spokane's facility will mostly house small items, according to an Amazon spokesperson.
