SPOKANE, Wash. — Thousands of people made their way to the fairgrounds as the Spokane Auto Show celebrated their 40th anniversary.

Luxury and brand new cars were lined up with over 20 local dealerships on-site to showcase them.

“This year, in particular, we’ve just had a wonderful weekend,” said show manager Don Kellman. “The weather has helped us out quite a bit.”

Snowstorms were the cause of dangerous road conditions last year and that slowed down the normal crowd.

Kellman says the turnout has been great this year and welcomed the clear skies because that just means more people asking for a test drive.

The auto show signals the start of a new season for dealerships even if they don’t make a sale during the event. Most of the reps go over information regarding the cars and people come back later to complete the deal.
