SPOKANE, Wash. — Sunny spring skies and warm temperatures are here, and that means fresh produce and time spent outdoors are at the top of many Inland Northwest residents’ bucket lists for the season.
Luckily, there are a handful of Farmers Markets to take advantage of in the Spokane area, including North Idaho. Some have already begun offering up tasty local treats while others will kick off for the season soon.
Here is a comprehensive list of Farmers Markets in Spokane and North Idaho.
Kendall Yards Night Market
The Kendall Yards Night Market may not be your traditional Farmers Market but it does have some familiar features.
The event offers food vendors and live music every Wednesday night from 5 to 9 p.m. This year’s Night Market begins on Wednesday, May 15.
Vendors offer fruit, vegetables, herbs, cheese, honey, meat, baked goods, pickles, jams and more. Some new vendors will participate this year, including Ace of Spades Farm, The Grain Shed, Silverpine Studio and Sparkles Bakeshop Spokane.

The Night Market also said it has several events planned for the season, including Rock the Nest Concerts and more food trucks. The latest info will be posted on the market's Facebook page.
Thursday Market
If Wednesday doesn’t work for you, maybe the following day will! Spokane’s South Perry District is also home to a Farmers Market from 3 to 7 p.m.
The 12th year of the event began on May 2 and will run through Oct. 31. It has been voted the best market for five years running.
The market offers a variety of vendors, including:
- Hierophant Meady, which sells fine honey wines, kombucha and elderberry syrup
- Mama Rottez Salsa
- Sweet Annie’s Artisan Creamery
- Tonnemaker Hill Farm, which provides certified organic fruits and vegetables
- B&G Sweet Heat Peppers
- Veraci Pizza
- Aichelle Farms, which specializes in strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and yellow raspberries
- Brunchkin, which features lightly spiced Ableskivers with whipped cream and jam
- Ace of Spades Farm
- Elithorp Farm
- Full Bushel Farm
Emerson Garfield Farmers Market
The Emerson Garfield Farmers Market runs every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. The event begins on June 7 and runs through Sept. 27.
It is located at 2310 N. Monroe Street.
The vendors offer locally grown fruits and vegetables, breads and pastries, farm-fresh eggs, artisan soaps, honey, flowers and plants, crafts, pickles and preserves, and meats.
Emerson Garfield is a member of the Washington State Farmers Market Association.
Spokane Farmers’ Market
The Spokane Farmers’ Market opened for the season at 20 W. 5th Ave. on Saturday, May 11.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday beginning June 13.
The market sells local fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs and cheese, along with wild harvested mushrooms, fish, huckleberries, and baked goods.

Millwood Farmers Market
The Millwood Farmers Market also offers up goodies every Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. beginning on May 29. The market runs through Oct 9.
The event features produce, local vendors and live music.
Fairwood Farmers Market
The Fairwood Farmers Market takes place every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at 319 W. Hastings Road.
Tuesday, May 14, marks the second market of the season. People can enjoy live music from Colby Tinsley while searching for local produce.
Spokane Valley Farmers Market
The Spokane Valley Farmers Market runs from 5 to 8 p.m. every Friday until Sept. 13.
It kicks off on June 7 at the Centerplace Parking Lot near the Discovery Playground.
The market offers local and regional produce, meals, entertainment and artisans.
Liberty Lake Farmers Market
The Liberty Lake Farmers Market opens for the season on May 18 and runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The market offers goods from dozens of vendors around the region, including Big Barn Brewing, Veraci Pizza and Scone Ranger. You can view a full list of vendors on the farmers market’s Facebook page.
Kootenai County Farmers Markets
Coeur d’Alene and Hayden, Idaho, are also host to two farmers markets throughout the summer months.
On Saturday, you can visit the market in Hayden, Idaho on the southeast corner of Highway 95 and Prairie Avenue. It is open from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through Oct. 19.
The Wednesday Market, which is open May 15 through Sept. 25, runs from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Sherman Avenue and Fifth Street in Coeur d’Alene.
More than 100 vendors make up the markets, serving up everything from meats, cheeses, bread, vegetables, honey and jams. Others offer plants, chairs and even birdhouses.
