Amelia Earhart flew a Lockheed Electra on her final flight.

Linda Finch bought the same plane and in 1997 recreated Earhart's voyage across the Pacific. This plane, along with the only known fragment of Earhart's actual Electra is now on display at the Museum of Flight.

Finch talked to New Day Northwest about what it was like to follow Amelia Earhart's footsteps and about her advocation for getting girls and women interested in aviation careers.
