SPOKANE, Wash. — Martin Luther King Day Celebration

Spokane Symphony Masterworks
January 18-19
Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox
It’s a celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday. The symphony will perform his Symphony No. 7 and a couple other pieces.

Present Laughter
January 10-February 2
Spokane Civic Theatre
At the center of his own universe sits matinee idol Garry Essendine: suave, hedonistic and too old, says his wife, to be having numerous affairs. His line of harmless, infatuated debutantes is largely tolerated but playing closer to home is not. Just before he escapes on tour to Africa the full extent of his misdemeanors is discovered. And all hell breaks loose. Present Laughter premiered in the early years of the Second World War just as such privileged lives were threatened with fundamental social change.

Jessimae Peluso
January 16-18
Spokane Comedy Club
She’s been on a ton of tv shows; MTV’s “Girl Code” and “Safe Word,” TBS’s “Deal with It,” E!’s “Chelsea Lately” and more. She’s bringing her brand of standup comedy to Spokane.
