A young Japanese maiden, whose pride and honor are wounded by an American naval officer, is left to heartbreak and tragedy. Puccini’s music is breath-taking as it builds between hope and anticipation, betrayal and despair. Musical highlights include the radiant “Flower Duet,” and “Un bel di vedremo” (“One fine day we shall see”). Passion and pathos unleash in this deeply moving drama, an enduring favorite.

Sung in Italian with English supertitles. A 30-minute pre-concert talk will begin one hour before the performance.

Inland NW Craft Beer Festival

The Inland Northwest Craft Beer Festival will welcome 40 craft breweries pouring more than 150 types of beer. To commemorate America’s other favorite pastime, the event will be held at Avista Stadium and features live music, great food and baseball-themed fun. Admission includes glass and eight 4 oz tastes.
