Janelle Finch started at KREM 2 News as a multi-skilled journalist in November 2021 after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism in May 2021. During her time in college, she obtained her Bachelor of Journalism degree in Broadcast Journalism with an emphasis in Radio-TV Reporting and Anchoring and minors in sociology and Spanish, served as Vice President and Mentorship Chair for her university's National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) chapter and worked for local NBC-affiliate KOMU 8 News as a reporter.

Before coming to the Inland Northwest, she worked remotely for CNBC as a Digital Video Production Intern on the Markets and Politics video team, during one of the biggest years for the political scene, where she edited and helped produce videos ranging in topics from the shift of Congress after the 2020 election to how college students of color are bridging the generational wealth gap and investing in the stock market.

Chicago is home for Janelle, but even though she is nearly 2,000 miles away, she is excited to bring her skills to Spokane, explore a new city and of course, tell its stories.

When Janelle isn't working, you can find her checking out Spokane eats, making videos for her natural hair YouTube channel or serving the community with her Sorors of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Be sure to connect with her on social media @JFinchTV on Twitter and Instagram and follow her on Facebook.
