Evan joined the KREM 2 News team in August of 2017 as a reporter after graduating from Chapman University in Orange, California with a degree in Television Broadcast Journalism. In 2018, Evan became the morning and noon weather anchor at KREM.
Evan is now pursuing his Bachelors in Geoscience with an emphasis in Broadcast and Operational Meteorology through Mississippi State University.
While in college he spent time interning and working at PBS SoCal, FOX 11 Los Angeles, and Hawthorne Community Television. Being a California native, Evan loves the beach, but lakes are a close second. He has only lived in warm climates, so he’s still deciding if Spokane’s winter snow is something to be feared or loved.
Since he was young, Evan has maintained a passion for reading, politics, and traveling. He believes in the importance of sharing stories and informing the public through journalism. Through the "KREM in the Classroom" program, Evan coordinates and visits elementary schools every week, educating students about broadcasting and weather. He has visited more than 1,000 students across Eastern Washington and North Idaho to teach about how weather impacts our region.
