Danamarie McNicholl loves working on the morning show and waking up with KREM 2 News as an anchor and reporter. She also serves as a fill-in weekend anchor.

Danamarie first joined the news team in August 2017 as a reporter after graduating from Gonzaga University with a degree in Broadcast and Electronic Media. She left KREM for one year to win Miss Washington 2018 and went on to place in the top 15 at the Miss America competition. Danamarie returned to her journalism career at KREM in July 2019.

Danamarie's passion lies in connecting with people and sharing engaging stories about her community. She believes in using her voice to be an honest and transparent journalist. As a young girl she dreamed of becoming a storyteller and feels grateful to be living her dream with an amazing group of people on the morning show!

The San Diego native traded in palm trees for evergreens and now calls the Pacific Northwest home. Outside the newsroom, you can find her golfing, browsing the amazing farmers markets in Spokane, or drinking mimosas.
