One dead in Perry District fire

Spokane fire officials said Ivory from Newark to Eighth Avenue and Newark from Ivory to Arthur were completely blocked off Thursday morning.

According to a release from the Spokane Fire Department, there were no working smoking alarms in the residence.

The fire department advises homes to have at least one smoke alarm on every level and one inside every bathroom.
