I work for a local Napa Auto Parts store... Today, being a normally slow day, I dealt with 2 different couples wishing to purchase Catalytic Converters from me.... (An exhaust related component for a vehicle) This is an part that I may sell (1) a month if even that.. The first couple I helped was kind of a shocker for me, but, the second couple was in the same situation... Both couples were watching the 3D Movie The Hobbit, up North at the Wandermere Movie Theater... Since the movie was around 3 hours long, which I don't honestly know.... As there vehicles were parked, an individual or individuals crawled underneath there vehicles and CUT OUT there Catalytic Converters. Both couples were extremely shocked because the exhaust of their vehicles were EXTREMELY LOUD once started. Not a lot of people know that Catalytic Converters have a make-up of Valuable Platinum and other Precious Metals with-in them. I have heard of no other stories taking place like this, but, it could be a big problem for Spokane. Both vehicles I dealt with today were Lifted 4-Wheel drive trucks... My advice, if you are gonna go anywhere and be away from your "VEHICLE" for a long period of time, try to choose another vehicle that sits lower to the ground if you own one, drive it instead!!!
