In order to escape the summer heat on July 10th, my friend and I (Andrew Donelick) decided to take a day trip to the upper elevations of the Wallowa Mountains. Our primary activity was to climb up Chief Joseph Mountain, but we brought along some sleds to slide around on some snow fields for an extra bit of fun. This picture shows some of the beautiful scenery we encountered on the way up the mountain.
