The kids and I visit grandma's house in Boise every summer for the month of August. My husband comes for one week and we spend most of that time in the family pool. Here we are enjoying one of the last days of summer. Our son, Jake, just learned to swim and our daughter, Maddie, is a natural mermaid. This one month each year that we spend in Boise with family has made lasting impressions on my kids and strengthened their relationships with both grandparents. We look forward to it every summer.
