PROGERIA RESEARCH FOUNDATION (PRF); Sara Sauls, Inland Northwest Progeria Awareness & Fundraising Member would like to inform you and the Spokane/CDA community that Sara and her family will be hosting the 1st ever fundraiser in honor of the PRF, Coins to Cure Progeria© on Saturday, November 12th, 9am-2pm at the Intersections of the Y. We will be meeting at the Rite Aid, 9120 North Division Street, Spokane, WA, 99218. Participants will be on the sidewalks and medians with collection containers.
We are proud of our wonderful community and it’s outpouring of generosity with whatever they have to give; we would also like to invite anyone who has some time to spare for holding posters and/or collections. We are not asking for much; just some extra change. Proceeds will be used to continue with finding the cure for Progeria and also to cover the costs for the participation of the children with Progeria in the drug trials.
Progeria is one of the rarest diseases on earth, so raising awareness of it and PRF’s work is vital to our efforts to find all children affected by it, and to gather as many supporters as possible. As word of Progeria and our tremendous progress spreads worldwide, the public’s fascination with these special children continues to grow, with widespread coverage of Progeria children and the research that will lead to a cure.
The event will feature adults and children alike from within our community furthering awareness of this rare and fatal disease, Progeria. The Progeria Research Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to find the Cure for Children with Progeria.
