Sorry, I do not know what category this falls under...so how do I go about getting our fundraiser mentioned on one or more of your newscasts? It is scheduled for November 12th from 11-3pm. Its for the Progeria Research Foundation...Coins to Cure Progeria© challenge! Nov. 12th will be the 1st of many; which will be worked around the weather and the numerous and larger scale fundraisers and drives....please let me know how to get the info out there, maybe even just on the Saturday morning broadcast?

It's official! It's the Inland Northwest's turn to get out and inform our community about PROGERIA, a fatal disease that affects only children. Other than the consistent sharing of the children of Progeria from me through facebook and email; many of you may not know much about it. I will include a couple links, but the direst facts are that: Progeria is a fatal disease that only affects children. There are a total of 80 children in the WHOLE WORLD that have Progeria. A fraction of those with Progeria are in the United States (30-40). It is a rapid aging disease. When they’re age 7 their bodies look and feel like age 70. They don't grow much and they will end up loosing all of their hair. Also, their little bodies are so fragile and cannot hold onto its "insulation", so they are in danger of hypothermia. At age 5 they become susceptible to heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, etc. The average life-span of a child with Progeria is 13 years old. I know times are hard for everyone, that's why I am asking for your time and not your money. However, these precious Angels are literally in a race against time. So please, please if you have time to donate, I and all the children would greatly appreciate it! You don't even have to stay the whole time, 1 hour would be fine. Please RSVP by November 5th.

We will be meeting at the Rite Aid at the Y.
9120 North Division Street
Spokane, Washington 99218
At The North Division Y At Newport Highway

Thank you in advance, for any and all your consideration in your participation with our 1st successful Coins to Cure Progeria© challenge!
