One day in September, a young bull moose jumped into our backyard and decided to spend the afternoon. He seemed to enjoy eating my apples, playing with the rope swing in the maple tree, and just hanging out. He was so close to the house that it was easy to take some great pictures of him. He seemed to be pretty docile and even tolerated my 5 year old granddaughter, Sydney, sitting on the deck railing, watching him have a rest. He even tolerated the dog, who decided after a few seconds, that maybe she needed to be in the house!! It was a very strange, but amazing day to see this huge creature enjoy my yard!
