The first ever wedding at the Bloomsday Race was performed by Ralph J. Fishburn of Ralph’s Regal Weddings of Spokane, Washington. The couple, Karen Fall and Michael Smith of Kent, Washington, exchanged their vows at the Start Line of the race on May 1, 2011. The bride threw her bouquet into the crowd at the end of the ceremony before beginning their sixth Bloomsday Race together.
