Who: 2005 2A Boys Coach of the Year & Wa State Champs Medical Lake High school Basketball Arnold Brown and Coordinator of 8 annual Boys & Girls Basketball tourneys in Medical Lake hosting thousands of local and surrounding State players, loves Coaching
What: Has Refused to Coach another Basketball game in Whitman County unless School Official step in stop or at challenge what he feels has been over 10 years of consistance racial harrassment, discrimination and outright unsportsmanlike behavior by numerous Whitman county sports Officials
When: Mostly recently 2 incidents or games by the same two Sports Official in Roselia (sp) and then 8 Jan 2011 the same officials showed up for the Clarkston HS vs Medical Lake HS game trying all kinds of blanton gimmicks to get a negative reaction out of Coach Brown
Why: Enough is enough - you can only ignore discrimination so long before something happen both sides regret especially when high school age children are involved as the pawns of most actions
How: The schoolis trying to convince Coach Brown to show up by sending local law officials (Coach Brown asked for a lawyer to be placed on the bench and ear shot) but the school says time will only allow for a videotographer, a ML school official and school security officier for the upcoming Pullman HS vs MLHS game Tuesday 11 Jan in Pullman. The only other chose was for Coach Brown to be written up and docked a games pay to provide some documentation of his concerns
