COEUR D’ALENE -- A local high school is donating their check from Tom’s Tailgate to competing schools.

Each week, KREM 2 Chief Meteorologist Tom Sherry brings checks courtesy of Toyota to each of the winning high schools for the tailgate of the week.  This week, the competing games were Post Falls at Coeur d’ Alene and Wilbur/Creston at Cusick.

After all the votes were counted, Post Falls at Coeur d’Alene won the most votes.

When Tom went to award each school with checks for $222 dollars, students from Coeur d' Alene announced they were donating their check to the Cusick High School Panthers and their booster club is matching that donation to give to the Wilbur/Creston Wildcats.
