Tom Sherry hit the road in a special edition of Tom's BBQ Forecast to raise money for Second Harvest Food Bank Thursday night.
Cowboy hats, boots and hay bales occupied a corner of the valley Rosauers parking lot where local ranchers with the Washington Beef Commission and Spokane Cattle served up more than 200 all-beef hot dogs, chips and soda at the BBQ fundraiser.
The 2-hour fundraiser brought in over 200 guests who purchased $3 BBQ dinners, collecting over $600 to support the Beef Counts program at Second Harvest Food Bank. Beef counts is a partnership with the Washington Beef Commission, St. Helen's Beef and Rosauers Supermarkets to provide lean nutritious beef to those in need in our community.
Consumers can contribute to the cause by purchasing beef at Rosauers this summer. Ten cents from every dollar of beef purchased at Rosauers this summer will go to the Beef Counts Program. Learn more about the program, and how you can help, here.
