SPOKANE, Wash. --- Spokane broke its rainfall record for the rainiest month ever, clocking in 6.23 inches of rain as of Monday.
Spokane's official rainfall total for the month of October 2016 is 6.23".#wawx— NWS Spokane (@NWSSpokane) November 1, 2016
The previous record for the month of October, according to the National Weather Service, was 5.41 inches, set in 1947.
The second wettest month ever for Spokane was November of 1897, when it rained 5.85 inches.
We would be happy if this November we do not break that record as well.
