CATALDO, Idaho-- The Coeur d’Alene River was dropping wednesday near the town of Cataldo, but the river could climb another three feet by Friday afternoon.
People who live in Cataldo are used the flooding due to the spring run off. For one business owner, the timing is critical
Wade Kahn’s home sits on an island. He generously used his tractor Tuesday to get KREM 2’s Othello Richards across.
Kahn is the owner of Kahnderosa RV Park and Campground in Cataldo. He says it's always open, as long as it's not flooded with water from the Coeur d’Alene River.
Kahn has run recreational park for 11 years. His grounds sit under about one foot of water.
By Memorial Day, he expects business to be in full swing. So the flooding now, he can tolerate.
It's predicted the river will recede and then crest about one foot on Friday.
