SHOSHONE COUNTY-- Flood waters from the Coeur d'Alene River forced several road closures in Shoshone County.
Officials say they have concerns just how long the roads will be closed and people will be stranded in their homes. Portions of several roads around the county sit under flood water from the Coeur d’Alene River.
Flood stage for the Coeur d'Alene River at Cataldo is considered 43 feet. As of Thursday morning, levels reached just over 44 feet.
People living in the affected area were put under voluntary evacuation.
Officials estimate 25 people chose to remain at home.
